Welcome to J-Pool.
These Terms and Conditions explain the rules for using the J-Pool mobile application, website, community tools, dashboards, support tools, payment features, safety features, and related services.
J-Pool is designed to bring structure to the informal movement of people within trusted communities. The Platform helps communities, organisations, Hosts, and Pals coordinate shared journeys in a safer, more transparent, and more responsible way.
By using J-Pool, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you should not use the Platform.
J-Pool is a product of EYKEGAI UK LTD, a private limited company registered in Scotland under company number SC894282. Registered Office: 3, Third Floor Hill Street, Edinburgh, United Kingdom, EH2 3JP.
J-Pool helps people within trusted communities coordinate shared journeys. J-Pool is a community mobility coordination platform. It is not a taxi company, private hire operator, bus company, public transport provider, transport carrier, or transport service provider.
J-Pool is beginning operations in Scotland and is currently being introduced through selected communities, pilots, organisations, and approved locations in the United Kingdom.
A person who creates or coordinates a shared journey is called a Host. A person who joins or requests a shared journey is called a Pal. A shared journey is called a Pool.
Users must be at least 18 years old and may need to complete verification before joining, creating, hosting, or participating in Pools. Hosts and Pals are responsible for their own conduct, safety, information, decisions, and compliance with these Terms.
Payments, where available, must be made through approved J-Pool payment methods. Card and online payments are processed through secure third-party payment providers. J-Pool may also support wallet funding, wallet payments, journey credits, refunds, and Host withdrawals where enabled.
Your use of J-Pool is also governed by our Privacy Policy.
This summary is provided to make the Terms easier to understand. The full Terms below remain the legally applicable version.
J-Pool is a UK (Scotland) -first community mobility coordination platform. We help people within trusted communities discover, organise, request, join, and participate in shared journeys.
J-Pool provides technology that supports community access, user verification, journey coordination, Pool discovery, route information, communication, permitted payments, wallets, safety tools, reporting, support, feedback, analytics, community dashboards, and related coordination features.
J-Pool is designed to support the movement that already exists informally within communities, including workplaces, campuses, churches, associations, neighbourhoods, residential communities, diaspora groups, shift-based environments, local organisations, and other structured or unstructured communities.
J-Pool does not directly provide transport services. J-Pool does not employ Hosts to provide transport. J-Pool does not own or operate vehicles for ordinary community Pools. J-Pool does not guarantee that any Host, Pal, route, vehicle, journey, or Pool will be available, suitable, or risk-free.
J-Pool is currently being introduced in selected supported communities, initially in Scotland and the wider United Kingdom. J-Pool is not currently operating in Nigeria. Services in Nigeria or any other country will only apply where J-Pool formally confirms that the Platform is active in that location and publishes any applicable local terms.
For clarity, “J-Pool”, “we”, “us” or “our” means the J-Pool platform and related services operated in the United Kingdom by EYKEGAI UK LTD.
“Platform” means the J-Pool mobile application, website, dashboards, community tools, admin tools, support tools, safety features, payment features, wallet features, communication tools, analytics, and related services.
A “Host” means a user who creates, offers, publishes, coordinates, or manages a Pool. A “Pal” means a user who joins, requests, books, participates in, or reserves a seat in a Pool. A “Pool” means a shared journey created, coordinated, requested, or joined through J-Pool.
A “Community Partner” means an organisation, group, employer, workplace, university, church, residential community, association, local authority partner, pilot partner, or other community that works with J-Pool or supports access to the Platform.
A “Community Admin” means a person authorised by a Community Partner or by J-Pool to manage community access, approvals, invitations, verification, reporting, or participation.
A “User” means anyone who accesses or uses the Platform, including Hosts, Pals, Community Admins, community members, pilot users, and organisation users.
A “Wallet” means any in-app balance, credit balance, Host earnings balance, refund balance, voucher balance, or stored value feature made available by J-Pool.
An “Approved Payment Method” means any payment method made available or approved by J-Pool, including card payments, wallet payments, third-party payment gateways, vouchers, credits, community-funded journeys, or other enabled payment options.
To use J-Pool, you must be at least 18 years old, provide accurate and complete information, use your own identity and account, and use the Platform only for lawful, safe, and permitted purposes.
You may also need to be part of, invited by, or approved for a supported community. J-Pool, a Community Partner, or a Community Admin may require identity, community, Host, vehicle, payment, or safety verification before you can access certain features.
When creating or using an account, you agree to keep your login details secure, not share your account with another person, update your details if they change, and notify us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.
You are responsible for activity carried out through your account unless the activity happened because of J-Pool’s error, negligence, or a security failure within J-Pool’s reasonable control.
J-Pool may share limited account, Pool, safety, verification, reporting, or participation information with the relevant Community Partner or Community Admin where necessary to manage access, resolve issues, support safety, investigate misuse, manage the pilot, operate the community programme, or provide community-level reporting. Any personal data shared will be handled in line with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws.
J-Pool may refuse, suspend, restrict, or withdraw access if we cannot verify your identity, account information, community access, Host eligibility, payment method, vehicle information, safety status, or compliance with these Terms.
The Platform may allow users to create, publish, search for, request, join, or manage Pools; find shared journeys within supported communities, branches, locations, or routes; request or reserve seats; communicate through in-app chat or approved communication tools; receive app, email, SMS, in-app, or push notifications; make payments through approved J-Pool payment methods; fund or use a Wallet where enabled; receive wallet credits, refunds, vouchers, or community-funded journey credits where available; and allow Hosts to receive earnings, reimbursements, or approved cost contributions where enabled.
The Platform may also allow users to view Pool details, route information, journey status, pickup points, drop-off points, and estimated timing; use safety features such as trip tracking, reporting tools, emergency contact tools, or SOS support; rate, review, report, or provide feedback after a Pool; access community-level dashboards or reporting where authorised; and contact J-Pool support.
Availability of Pools depends on location, community rules, Host availability, Pal demand, timing, route, verification status, vehicle availability, safety checks, payment status, technical availability, and Platform functionality. J-Pool does not guarantee that a Pool will always be available, that a Host or Pal will accept or complete a Pool, or that a journey will happen exactly as planned.
J-Pool may be made available through community pilots, beta releases, trial features, limited launches, private testing, controlled rollouts, or early access programmes. During these stages, features may be incomplete, experimental, limited, or subject to change. Payments, Wallets, dashboards, analytics, net-zero features, verification tools, safety tools, and reporting features may be introduced gradually.
J-Pool may collect feedback, usage insights, issue reports, operational data, journey data, community feedback, and technical logs to improve the product. Participation in a pilot, beta, trial, or early access programme does not guarantee continued access, final feature availability, commercial launch, pricing, future community access, or long-term support.
A Host is a user who creates, offers, publishes, coordinates, or manages a Pool.
As a Host, you agree that you will only create Pools you genuinely intend to complete and that you will provide accurate route, time, pickup, drop-off, seat, vehicle, pricing, and journey information. You must use a safe, roadworthy, legally permitted, and appropriately maintained vehicle, hold a valid driving licence where you are driving, and maintain any insurance, tax, MOT, roadworthiness, vehicle, or legal documents required in your location.
Hosts must drive safely, obey all road traffic laws, treat Pals, community members, and J-Pool staff respectfully and without discrimination, and avoid unsafe, abusive, threatening, discriminatory, harassing, or inappropriate behaviour. Hosts must not carry more passengers than their vehicle is legally designed, insured, or permitted to carry.
Hosts must not use J-Pool for street-hailing, taxi-style operations, unlawful private hire activity, or unlicensed commercial passenger transport. Hosts must not use J-Pool to make profit from carrying passengers unless J-Pool has expressly approved a lawful licensed or commercial arrangement.
Hosts must not request or accept off-platform payments unless J-Pool has expressly enabled that option for the relevant Pool or community. Hosts should cancel only where reasonably necessary and with as much notice as possible.
Hosts remain responsible for their own driving, vehicle, insurance, roadworthiness, licences, legal documents, conduct, route decisions, and compliance with applicable laws.
J-Pool may require Hosts to complete identity checks, community checks, vehicle checks, licence checks, insurance checks, safety checks, payment checks, ratings reviews, or other compliance steps. Passing verification does not make the Host an employee, worker, agent, contractor, partner, or representative of J-Pool.
J-Pool may restrict, suspend, or remove Host access if a Host fails verification, provides false information, receives serious complaints, breaches these Terms, creates safety concerns, misuses payments, or uses the Platform unlawfully.
A Pal is a user who requests, books, joins, or participates in a Pool.
As a Pal, you agree that you will provide accurate booking, pickup, drop-off, and contact information; arrive at the agreed pickup point on time; treat the Host, other Pals, vehicles, community members, and J-Pool staff respectfully; follow reasonable safety instructions; wear a seatbelt where required; and pay any displayed contribution, fee, charge, or wallet amount that applies.
Pals should cancel only where reasonably necessary and with as much notice as possible. Pals must not damage, misuse, interfere with, or contaminate a Host’s vehicle; behave in an abusive, threatening, discriminatory, harassing, unsafe, or inappropriate way; bring illegal, dangerous, offensive, restricted, or prohibited items into a Pool; or pressure a Host to take an unsafe, unlawful, unplanned, or unauthorised route.
J-Pool may restrict or suspend a Pal’s account for repeated no-shows, unsafe behaviour, non-payment, harassment, discrimination, misuse, false reports, off-platform arrangements, or breach of these Terms.
J-Pool may support in-app payments, card payments, wallet payments, wallet funding, journey credits, community-funded journeys, vouchers, refunds, Host earnings balances, Host withdrawals, or other approved payment methods depending on the community, product stage, and location.
Payments are not held inside the app as card payments. Card and online payments are processed using secure third-party payment gateways or payment service providers, which may include providers such as Stripe, PayPal, or other approved payment processors.
Where the Wallet feature is available, users may be able to fund their Wallet through the app and use their Wallet balance to pay for eligible journeys, credits, subscriptions, community fees, or other approved Platform activity.
Where Host earnings, reimbursements, or approved cost contributions are enabled, Hosts may receive amounts into their J-Pool Wallet or earnings balance and may request withdrawals subject to J-Pool’s payout rules, verification checks, fraud checks, payment provider requirements, minimum withdrawal thresholds, bank account verification, tax or compliance requirements, and any applicable community or product rules.
Any amount shown before confirmation may include a permitted journey cost contribution, J-Pool platform fee, service fee or administrative fee, community programme fee, payment processing fee, wallet funding or withdrawal fee where displayed, taxes, levies, charges where applicable, or any other clearly displayed charge.
For ordinary community car-sharing Pools, payments to Hosts should normally represent a permitted contribution towards journey-related costs. They must not be used to create an unlawful profit-making taxi, private hire, or commercial passenger transport service.
Hosts must not request, accept, demand, or pressure Pals into making off-platform payments unless J-Pool has expressly enabled that payment option for the specific Pool, community, or pilot. Pals should not pay outside the Platform unless the app or J-Pool support clearly confirms that this is allowed for the specific Pool or community.
J-Pool may deduct a platform fee, service fee, commission, administrative fee, or payment processing amount from completed Pools where this is displayed in the app, dashboard, pricing page, Host agreement, community agreement, or applicable product notice.
J-Pool may correct pricing errors, reverse fraudulent transactions, withhold payments during investigations, cancel payments linked to misuse, delay withdrawals, freeze Wallet activity, or restrict payment features where necessary for fraud prevention, legal compliance, safety, payment provider requirements, chargebacks, account verification, or breach of these Terms.
Cancellation and refund rules may vary depending on the community, Pool type, payment method, Wallet status, Host status, pricing model, journey stage, and location. In general, a Pal may cancel before the Pool starts, and a Host may cancel where reasonably necessary, including for safety, vehicle, emergency, route, timing, no-show, weather, technical, or personal reasons.
If a Host cancels a confirmed paid Pool, affected Pals may be eligible for a refund, credit, or wallet adjustment. If a Pal fails to attend after confirming a Pool, the Pal may not be eligible for a refund. If a Pal cancels late, a cancellation fee may apply where clearly displayed.
Repeated cancellations or no-shows may lead to account restrictions. J-Pool may review disputes and make reasonable decisions based on the available information. Refunds, where approved, may be returned through the original payment method, Wallet, credit balance, voucher, or other method available through the Platform.
J-Pool is not responsible for bank delays, card provider delays, payment processor delays, payment gateway delays, withdrawal delays, mobile wallet delays, PayPal delays, Stripe delays, chargeback delays, or other delays outside J-Pool’s reasonable control.
J-Pool may provide safety tools such as identity or community verification, trip information, in-app chat, ratings and reviews, reporting tools, trip tracking, emergency contact features, SOS or emergency support buttons, community admin reporting, and support escalation tools.
These features are designed to support safety, but they do not remove all risk. J-Pool cannot guarantee that every user, vehicle, route, pickup point, drop-off point, or Pool will be completely safe.
The SOS feature should only be used in genuine emergencies, serious safety situations, or urgent incidents. Depending on how the feature is configured, it may alert J-Pool support, emergency contacts, Community Admins, or other safety contacts and may share location, Pool, user, or trip information.
The SOS feature is not a replacement for police, ambulance, fire service, roadside assistance, or other emergency services. In an immediate emergency, users should contact the relevant emergency service directly.
Users are responsible for taking reasonable care of their own safety, including checking the vehicle, confirming the Host or Pal identity, sharing trip details where appropriate, using seatbelts, following reasonable safety instructions, and leaving or refusing to join a Pool if they feel unsafe.
After a Pool, users may be able to rate, review, report, or provide feedback about each other, the Pool, the route, or the Platform. Ratings, reviews, and reports must be truthful, fair, accurate, and based on your genuine experience.
You must not submit false, abusive, discriminatory, defamatory, threatening, misleading, malicious, retaliatory, or irrelevant content. J-Pool may review, remove, restrict, hide, investigate, or act on ratings, reviews, or reports where we believe they breach these Terms or may create safety, legal, operational, reputational, or community risks.
Consistently poor ratings, repeated complaints, unresolved safety issues, serious incident reports, or verified misuse may result in account restrictions, suspension, removal from communities, Host restrictions, or termination.
By using J-Pool, you agree that we may send you service-related communications. These may include account messages, booking updates, Pool reminders, Host or Pal updates, safety alerts, payment confirmations, Wallet updates, withdrawal updates, refund updates, support responses, verification updates, community notices, policy updates, product or feature updates, and other important Platform messages.
Where enabled, we may send push notifications through the app. You can manage push notifications through your device settings or app settings.
Some essential service messages may still be sent by email, SMS, in-app message, push notification, or other available contact method where needed to operate the Platform, maintain security, provide support, manage payments, handle safety issues, or comply with legal obligations.
Marketing messages, where used, will be managed in line with our Privacy Policy and applicable consent rules.
You may submit, upload, send, or share content through the Platform, including profile information, messages, reviews, ratings, reports, feedback, images, documents, verification information, support requests, and community information.
Your content must not be false, misleading, fraudulent, abusive, threatening, hateful, discriminatory, harassing, exploitative, illegal, harmful, unsafe, offensive, prohibited, infringing, spam-related, malicious, or damaging to J-Pool, another user, a community, Community Partner, or third party. You must not expose another person’s private information without permission.
You remain responsible for the content you provide. By submitting content, you allow J-Pool to use, store, display, process, review, moderate, and share it as reasonably necessary to operate the Platform, provide support, verify accounts, coordinate Pools, process payments, investigate issues, improve services, enforce these Terms, support safety, comply with law, and protect users and communities.
You must not use J-Pool for illegal, unsafe, fraudulent, harmful, or exploitative activity, or as an unlicensed taxi, private-hire, courier, delivery, logistics, or commercial transport service.
You must not accept street-hail passengers through J-Pool, create fake Pools, fake accounts, false bookings, fake reviews, or misleading reports, or provide false identity, vehicle, community, payment, wallet, licence, insurance, or verification information.
You must not harass, threaten, abuse, discriminate against, exploit, intimidate, or harm another person.
You must not bypass, avoid, manipulate, or interfere with J-Pool fees, pricing, verification, Wallet, payment, payout, or withdrawal systems; arrange off-platform payments where not allowed; use another person’s account, payment method, Wallet, or identity without permission; scrape, copy, reverse engineer, attack, overload, disrupt, or interfere with the Platform; or upload malware, spam, harmful code, bots, scripts, or unauthorised automation.
You must not transport illegal goods, weapons, controlled substances, dangerous materials, or prohibited items.
You must not use J-Pool in a way that damages trust, safety, community rules, Platform integrity, or J-Pool’s reputation, or encourage another person to breach these Terms.
J-Pool may suspend, restrict, investigate, or terminate accounts involved in prohibited conduct.
Some Pools operate within communities supported by Community Partners, such as employers, churches, universities, residential communities, associations, local groups, organisations, or pilot partners.
Community Partners may have their own access rules, eligibility requirements, safety expectations, internal policies, participation rules, travel policies, or community standards. Users must follow both these Terms and applicable community rules.
Where there is a conflict between community rules and these Terms, these Terms will apply to your relationship with J-Pool unless J-Pool confirms otherwise in writing.
Community Partners are not automatically responsible for the actions of Hosts, Pals, or other users unless a separate written agreement says otherwise.
J-Pool may provide Community Partners or Community Admins with dashboards, reports, usage summaries, safety summaries, adoption insights, operational data, mobility analytics, or carbon and sustainability insights. Where possible, reporting will use aggregated or anonymised data. Identifiable personal data will only be shared where necessary, lawful, proportionate, and consistent with our Privacy Policy, community agreement, pilot agreement, product terms, or safety requirements.
J-Pool may provide community mobility, sustainability, net-zero, carbon saving, and impact-related features. These features may estimate or display information such as journey distance, shared journey activity, vehicle type, journey frequency, estimated emissions avoided, participation rates, community travel patterns, and mobility behaviour.
Carbon, net-zero, and sustainability metrics are provided for estimation, reporting, analytics, product improvement, and community insight purposes. They may be based on J-Pool’s proprietary calculations, assumptions, available journey data, vehicle data, public datasets, user-provided information, or recognised emissions factors.
These metrics should not be treated as certified carbon credits, regulated carbon offsets, audited emissions statements, financial advice, environmental compliance advice, or formal regulatory reporting unless J-Pool expressly confirms this in writing.
J-Pool may rely on third-party services, including payment processors, payment gateways, wallet providers, payout providers, map providers, routing providers, location services, identity verification providers, vehicle information providers, analytics providers, cloud hosting providers, messaging providers, app stores, crash reporting tools, and support tools.
Your use of those services may be subject to their own terms, policies, privacy notices, technical requirements, or payment rules.
J-Pool is not responsible for failures, delays, outages, errors, chargebacks, declined payments, blocked payments, verification delays, map inaccuracies, or technical failures caused by third-party services outside our reasonable control. However, J-Pool will take reasonable steps to manage issues that materially affect the Platform where they are within our reasonable control.
J-Pool may update, improve, suspend, withdraw, restrict, replace, or change parts of the Platform from time to time. This may be done for maintenance, security, legal, technical, community, product, business, payment, safety, operational, or compliance reasons.
We aim to keep the Platform available, but we do not guarantee that it will always be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or available in every location, device, network, community, or operating system.
Some features may be released gradually, tested with selected users, or made available only in certain communities, locations, pilots, user groups, or app versions.
The J-Pool name, brand, logo, design, software, website, app content, features, text, graphics, user interface, workflows, technology, data models, dashboards, patterns, product logic, analytics, documentation, and related materials belong to J-Pool, EYKEGAI UK LTD, Eykegai, or our licensors.
You may use the Platform only for its intended purpose and in line with these Terms. You must not copy, modify, reproduce, sell, rent, license, distribute, reverse engineer, scrape, extract, imitate, misuse, or create derivative works from any part of the Platform without our written permission.
You must not use J-Pool branding, screenshots, logos, product visuals, community materials, or public-facing content in a misleading, unlawful, harmful, or unauthorised way.
Your use of J-Pool is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, store, share, and protect personal information.
This may include information used for account creation, community verification, Host verification, vehicle checks, payments, Wallets, Pool coordination, safety features, support, analytics, fraud prevention, legal compliance, net-zero features, push notifications, and service improvement.
By using the Platform, you acknowledge that we will handle your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws.
J-Pool may suspend, restrict, investigate, or terminate your account if we reasonably believe that you have breached these Terms, provided false or incomplete information, created a safety risk, misused the Platform, acted fraudulently or unlawfully, failed verification checks, repeatedly cancelled or disrupted Pools, failed to make required payments, misused Wallet or withdrawal features, harmed another user or community, or where we are required to do so by law, payment provider, regulator, court order, safety concern, or Community Partner agreement.
We may also restrict certain features while we investigate a report, payment issue, verification concern, safety concern, or account issue.
You may request account deletion through the app, support channel, or any other method we make available. Some information may be retained where required for legal, safety, fraud prevention, accounting, tax, audit, payment, dispute resolution, regulatory, or legitimate business purposes, as explained in our Privacy Policy.
J-Pool will use reasonable skill, care, and diligence in operating the Platform, developing product features, managing community pilots, supporting users, maintaining safety tools, processing support requests, and providing services in accordance with these Terms and any applicable product-specific, community, pilot, or commercial agreement.
Where J-Pool provides paid Platform features, community programmes, subscriptions, admin tools, dashboards, or support services, J-Pool will be responsible for delivering those services in line with the agreed scope and reasonable professional standards.
Where J-Pool collects or processes personal data, J-Pool will handle such personal data in accordance with its Privacy Policy, applicable data protection laws, and any relevant data processing agreement.
J-Pool provides a technology platform for community journey coordination. We do not provide transport services directly. Hosts are responsible for their own driving, vehicles, insurance, licences, MOT, roadworthiness, route decisions, conduct, and compliance with laws. Pals are responsible for their own conduct, attendance, safety decisions, belongings, payment obligations, and compliance with these Terms.
J-Pool does not guarantee that a Pool will be available, that a Host or Pal will accept or complete a Pool, that a Pool will start or arrive at a specific time, that every user will behave appropriately, that every issue can be prevented, that every vehicle, route, pickup point, drop-off point, or journey will be risk-free, that estimated routes, timings, prices, carbon metrics, or journey information will always be accurate, or that the Platform will always be available without interruption.
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes J-Pool’s liability where it would be unlawful to do so. This includes liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, and any other liability that cannot be excluded or restricted under applicable law.
Subject to the above, J-Pool may be responsible for direct losses that are reasonably foreseeable and arise directly from a material breach of these Terms by J-Pool, a failure by J-Pool to provide paid services with reasonable skill and care, a breach of a written product-specific agreement, pilot agreement, community agreement, subscription agreement, data processing agreement, order form, or commercial contract, a breach of confidentiality obligations owed by J-Pool under a written agreement, a data protection breach where J-Pool is legally responsible as a controller or processor under applicable data protection laws, or a failure by J-Pool to meet expressly agreed service commitments where those commitments are set out in a written agreement.
J-Pool will not be responsible for losses caused by the actions or omissions of Hosts, Pals, Community Partners, Community Admins, or other users; a user’s own travel decisions, route decisions, lateness, no-show, cancellation, unsafe behaviour, or breach of these Terms; accidents, delays, route changes, traffic, weather, road conditions, public events, emergencies, or external events outside J-Pool’s reasonable control; lost, stolen, contaminated, or damaged personal items; off-platform arrangements, bookings, payments, messages, or disputes; false, incomplete, outdated, or misleading information provided by users; a user’s failure to maintain account, payment, or device security; third-party service failures outside J-Pool’s reasonable control; or events outside J-Pool’s reasonable control.
J-Pool will not be responsible for indirect or consequential losses, including loss of profit, loss of revenue, loss of business opportunity, loss of goodwill, loss of anticipated savings, or reputational loss, except where such liability cannot legally be excluded.
For business users, Community Partners, organisations, Hosts using J-Pool under an approved commercial arrangement, or paid community programmes, J-Pool’s total liability may be limited to the amount paid to J-Pool for the relevant service in the 12 months before the claim, unless a written agreement states otherwise or the law requires otherwise. For consumers, your statutory rights are not affected.
You may be responsible for losses, claims, damages, costs, or expenses suffered by J-Pool, another user, a Community Partner, or a third party if they arise from your breach of these Terms, misuse of the Platform, fraudulent or unsafe conduct, abusive or discriminatory behaviour, false or misleading information, damage to property, off-platform payment or booking arrangement where not allowed, misuse of payments or Wallets, violation of another person’s rights, or failure to obtain required permissions, licences, consents, lawful basis, or authority for information submitted to J-Pool.
This does not apply to the extent that the relevant loss was caused by J-Pool’s own breach, negligence, unlawful conduct, or breach of a written agreement.
J-Pool may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in the Platform, pilots, features, payments, Wallets, legal obligations, community arrangements, product development, safety tools, or operating model.
Where changes are important, we will take reasonable steps to notify users, such as through the app, website, email, in-app notice, push notification, or other communication method. The updated Terms will apply from the date stated in the new version.
If you continue to use the Platform after the updated Terms take effect, you will be treated as having accepted them. If you do not agree with the updated Terms, you should stop using the Platform and may request account deletion.
For users accessing J-Pool in the United Kingdom, these Terms are governed by the laws of Scotland, unless mandatory consumer protection laws provide otherwise.
J-Pool is currently beginning operations in Scotland and is not currently operating in Nigeria. If J-Pool is formally launched in Nigeria or another country in the future, separate local terms, product notices, privacy notices, operating rules, or governing law provisions may apply.
Where possible, users should contact J-Pool support first so we can try to resolve any issue informally. Nothing in these Terms prevents a consumer from using any rights or remedies available under applicable law.
